If Alien Zombie Megadeath sounds vaguely familiar it’s because the game is a hi-def remix of the PS3 Mini ‘Alien Zombie Death’. PomPom Games are creating a shiny new version of the game and adding a number of new features, including:
- 70 levels
- Both one-shot and survival level types.
- Multiplayer Co-Op
- Various game modes: Bomb Disposal, Space Baby Rescue, JetPack & Decoy Pods.
- Medal system, with over 280 unique medals to unlock
- A range of space suits available. Plus a few to unlock!
- Independent leaderboards for all levels
- Weapon power-ups for those sticky moments
The game will hit the US PSN store on 21st June and the EU version will follow on 6th July. A trailer for the game is below.

Interesting, so it’ll still be a mini judging by the fact there’s medals and not trophies.
Amphlett
Yup, my first thought was whether there would be trophies.
The game looks like it could be quite a bit of fun.
Tuffcub
Mini’s cannot be HD – this is HD. So no.
TSBonyman
not a mini but no trophies either…. curious.. it’s a nice update from the original mini’s graphics though.
Forrest_01
I believe any full-blown PSN or retal release has to have trophies doesn’t it (as of Jan 2009)?

Maybe they forgot to mention the trophies. However it IS HD, which means its not a Mini – Minis can be played on PS3 and PSP, and as PSP doesnt do HD. If you chcek their website

You will see Zombei Death is marked as a mini, Zombie Megadeath is full Ps3.
Samiro05
I’ve played this game. Where have I played this game before :s Was it a mini with PS+ [a different version I imagine]?
Samiro05
Must have been but I really can’t think of playing it on PS3, more PC. Odd.
Tuffcub
Yes it was one of the first free minis with PS+
simplebob
I believe this was one of the first minis ever offered on PS+ and looked a whole lot different. Still a Spaceman jumping between platforms and shooting but looked like an old old PC game.

Megadeath? lame……
Mathematicool
I really liked the mini so I might give this a try.
PeacekeeperAlpha
I really liked the mini version, very addictive. But I would have to be a fool to buy it again in HD.
MrIrving
Depends on the price. If it’s £3.50 or less with trophies I’ll pick it up as it’s a fun little game for a quick diversion.
Foxhound_Solid
Sounds fun…
