  1. Wow, nothing for Uncharted 3. Although being in the same genre as Bioshock it’s not entirely surprising.

Can’t wait for the Vita, Bioshock, Uncharted, Skyrim etc. etc….

    • “same genre as Bioshock” – what?!

      • Best of Show and Best Action/Adventure – theyre in the same categories for nomination…

      • Bingo.

  2. From Dust is probably what I’m most excited about on that whole list… Although the Vita looks awesome and Skyrim might consume me for a week or two…
Some really tight competition this year, too. Great stuff. The next two years are going to be very exciting for us gamers, I think :)

    • I’m also looking forward to From Dust. Looks really good and the Vita is also on my want-list.

  3. After trading in my 3DS this week I must admit the Vita looks much more appealing now. The problem I had with the 3DS was that it really hurt many hands after just a few minutes play so hopefully the Vita’s design agrees with my mits a bit more :)

    • prepare yourself for psp claw!, honestly though psp claw is an absolute nightmare but compared to the 3ds youll get a couple of hours playtime before you cramp up

  4. Sound Shapes’ two wins (Best Handheld game, Best social/casual) is a bit of a surprise, I would have thought. Something to watch out for at the Vita’s launch…

  5. Hmmm.

I personally would have given Batman or UC3 best in show, and the same for Action/Adventure game (or possibly AC: Rev in the latter). Aside from that there’s nothing I particularly disagree with.

  6. Bioshock wiped the board here. Also interesting to note is that battlefield 3 won awards in categories that COD was also in. Still, roll on november.

  7. I’d have gone for Gravity Daze or LBP Vita over Sound Shapes for best handheld game, but it does look very good. How on earth did Bioshock get best original game though? Surely the definition of a sequel (isn’t Bioshock Infinite the third game in the series?) is that it’s not original.

    • Bioshock and bioshock:infinite only share the name of the series they’re in. Granted parts of the storytelling will be familar, but almost everythink else from is entirely different.

      • That make more sense then, I’ve never played the previous games and I’ve not been following Infinite, so I assumed they were just direct sequels.

  8. bit annoying when one game wins 4 awards, im looking at you Bioshock!

  9. they’re clearly using a different definition of the word original than i would.

don’t get me wrong, it looks like an amazing game, but the best original game award should have gone an original game rather than a sequel.

i think from dust or journey should have taken that award.

no real arguments about it taking best of show though.
i would have chosen either uncharted 3 or skyrim, but bioshock isn’t undeserving of the award.

  10. what is this?,where is uncharted,or starhawk?i agree with tekken x street fighter, forza and the vita but i dont think that bioshock infinite will even come close to being as good as uncharted 3.
