Borderlands, the funky co-op first person shooter, is set to get a sequel and that sequel is, according to reports, going to be announced soon. Eurogamer claims that they’ve heard that publisher 2K Games will be making an announcement “soon”, with the game being released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012.
It’ll be developed by Gearbox, who have previously dismissed rumours of the game despite it appearing on someone’s CV a few months back.
“Before anything, whether it’s a project, DLC or any creative activity, we tend to wildly brainstorm possibilities and most of the things that we think about and consider and discuss and sketch end up being left behind as ideas form and congeal and materialise into something that clicks and is really worth betting on,” said Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford in reference to the April leak.

It took me several hours to get into Borderlands, as I’m not an RPG fan, and It was a tad tiresome to repeatedly only shoot skags with litte ammo, but at some point it suddenly became brilliant!

Tried to get into the original on three seperate occasions but it all felt too samey for my tastes. The co-op features were a nice touch though and the visuals were cool.

Cool, the first one was good. I would quite like another helping of Pandora’s wonderful loot.
