16MGS 4 will be released on June 12th, according to attendees at Destination PlayStation. This will co-incide with an 80GB/Dual Shock 3 PS3 bundle in the US (at $499). This has just been confirmed at the PlayStation Blog too. Anyone pre-ordering will be entitled to a free beta of Metal Gear Online, too. Oddly, this news would have been best kept quiet, given that sales of the PS3 are now likely to slow until the bundle is out…
In addition, the Dual Shock 3 will retail separately from April 25th over the pond, for the great price of $54.99 for those still to import one from Japan.
Update: the 80GB PS3 will feature backwards compatibility. Yay indeed!
