16In what is a nice surprise, the Metal Gear Online beta just got a patch of sorts. You don’t actually have to download anything, so it’s not technically a patch, but you get a game mode and a map.
The game mode is called Sneak Mission. We are yet to play it properly but it’s a team deathmatch, with someone playing as Snake. Snake has to kill as many of either team as he can, for which he collects dogtags, and he has all the fancy upgrades he has in single player to do this – including OctoCamo and Solid Eye. We expect this to be incredibly popular for the sole reason of playing as Snake and getting a taste of the new OctoCamo.
The map is called Midtown Maelstrom and is a medium sized street in a wartorn town.
