Release dates make us happy.  They give us time to save our precious pennies up in anticipation, and ensure we don’t spend all our cash on crap like electricity bills and food.  So, what have Sony got lined up for November?  Well, starting this Friday (yeah, we know it’s October) is the Special TV Edition of Buzz, then next week it’s the double whammy of LittleBigPlanet and MotorStorm 2, before a SingStar duo of Volume 3 and the ABBA edition.  Finally, Resistance 2 rounds off the busy month.

Buzz Quiz TV Special Edition – October 31st
LittleBigPlanet – November 5th
MotorStorm Pacific Rift – November 7th
SingStar Volume 3 – November 14th
SingStar ABBA – November 14th
Resistance 2 – November 28th

So, which are you buying, and why?

  1. Definitely LBP and R2 for me, the joys of impending birthday should compensate somewhat for the getting older thing!

  2. None for me

R2 online is the biggest shambles I’ve ever seen

LBP I’m in a bit of a dilemma about; as a platformer I thought it was average, As a design tool… it’s not as cool as Far Cry 2
I would have brought it on Day 1 if it wasn’t delayed but now there are huge server issues, with online multiplayer reportedly not working at all, huge lag, almost daily patches… it’s obviously not ready, perhaps by January sales it will be, I’m going to wait and see on this one, and ask people once the hype has died down

MotorStorm 2 is probably the best one on the list for me, and I can’t justify the outlay at the moment, one for the January sales for me!

  3. i dont understand how people can like little big planet. its the stupidest thing out, id rather play chess! COD 5 and maybe resistance, those are the real games, pro evo and far cry, they are proper games and of course the unforgettable COD4. how can anyone even think about that little big planet s**t when COD5 is just around the corner!

    • Is COD5 that different to 4?
Does it bring anything new to the table?

      I don’t have 4 so I don’t know

But this is 1st & 2nd party releases not 3rd party

      • Yes cod 5 is ww2 and cod 4 was recnt wars and has the soviet union, there is a lot more features on 5 like climbin up trees and older guns which isnt great and there is a lot more recoil of guns. there is also flamethrowers in cod 5

  4. what is so good about little big planet? honestly

  5. there is a lot more features on 5 like climbin up trees and older guns which isnt great and there is a lot more recoil of guns. there is also flamethrowers in cod 5

Sounds like an update to me, rather than a whole new game

  6. I’m not buying it – there’s to many issues, gonna wait till January sales and see then

Pointing a shootin’ isn’t all that though, is it?

  7. Pointing and shootin is absolutely f**kin amazin in FarCry2, have you got it yet?

  8. I’ll be getting FC2 in the January sales

I’m addicted to Dead Space at the moment, which is a great twist on the traditional point and shoot, as you have to actually dismember the necromorphs, shooting off their heads and limbs

The atmosphere and gaming experience offered by Dead Space transcends it’s genre, If it had online or Co-Op play it would have got a 10 instead of 9

I’m sure it will get a 10 in the reviews, but I’m about to buy Fallout 3. I’ve still got invest far more time in Fifa 09, Dead Space, Saints Row 2 Co-Op mode and then Fallout 3 to be buying a bog standard WW2 shooter

I hope Infinity Ward bring something new to the table with COD6
