Yesterday we had the breaking news that Fifa ’09 was expanding, with ‘Ultimate Team’ a whole new online game mode based around virtual card trading.
More good news coming from EA today is that the update will bring with it Trophies. It was originally reported that the Trophies were just for the ‘Ultimate Team’ mode, but today EA have confirmed that the Trophies will be for the whole game. Great stuff!

Update: It is now confirmed that purchase of the new game mode, Ultimate Team isn’t necessary for the Trophy patch.
