A press release bouncing into our inboxes and kick-flipping onto our screens signals another installment in EA’s skate ‘em up. I’ll quote some of the press info for you:
SKATE 3 breaks new ground by taking all of the camaraderie and competitive excitement of real-life skateboarding and brings it to the hands of gamers.
Which I thought had already been done by Skate 2? Never mind, at least Skate 3 won’t have a silly peripheral that drives the price of the game up and makes you look daft whilst playing it. I’ve always liked EA.
Boasting online and offline multiplayer and team challenges as well as the formation of “skate crews” to rip up a new environment (Port Carvington) this might just be the bit of bad news Activision and Tony Hawk were waiting for…
Skate 3 is pencilled in for a May 2010 release.
