Vancouver 2010 Dated [12]

Rounding out the relevant videos that Sega stuffed through the TSA Towers’ letterbox this afternoon we have Vancouver 2010. This is the official game of the Winter Olympics which will be taking place in Vancouver in, erm… 2010. I’ve always liked a sporty offering ever since Daley Thompson’s Decathalon for the Spectrum gave me greenleaf fractures of the wrist when I was eight and I told all my friends it was a sporting injury. You really did have to waggle that Kempston…

  1. Feel the rhythm! Feel the rhyme! Get on up, its bobsled time!

    • Arr Cool Runnings. That better be on over xmas

  2. Not sure the soundtrack really mixes but I’m actually looking forward to this even though it will probably redefine average and be an utter pad wrecker.

  3. meh

  4. What a waste of time and effort this game will be.Virtual luge?Decathlon broke a few of my joysticks. It was rubbish and so are all olympic/winter olympic/athletics games.

  5. Daley Thompson’s Decathalon was ace, I played it endlessly against my brother and a few mates to get the best times/jumps.

It’s a shame that this style game has been poorly produced for years.

Get Joffa to redo Hyper Sports from the Speccy and do it in HD, that would be class !

    • It might of seemed ace 20 years ago but i think speed waggling and button bashing are best left in the past.

      • lol perhaps as a single player but as a multiplayer either on or offline these games can still be fun.

Might be perfect for the psn store if released at a decent price.

  6. If this involves button mashing…then meh.

  7. Put ‘Waggle that Kempston’ on a t shirt and you’ve got a sale.

Right, I’m off to re-read my 1984/85 issue of Crash.

  8. This speed skating game looks ridiculous… I wonder how they brought the tactics and split second decisions into the game and still keep it enjoyable to play…

  9. I want. I think this looks good, or maybe its just the Sum 41 song drawing me in
