Derby road heroine and all round pneumatic posh totty Lara Croft is starring in the recently revealed download only game, ‘Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light’. There was some suprise that the usual moniker of ‘Tomb Raider’ had been dropped and now we know why. Over on the Crystal Dynamics Facebook page they responded to a query as to why ‘Tomb Raider’ is not on in the title.
“You know this isn’t Tomb Raider right? We [are] working on two games, but this is something fresh and different! Wait and see!”
In response to another question regarding the development of the as yet unannounced ‘Tomb Raider 9′, Crystal Dynamics said:
“Don’t worry! They are separate and LCGoL doesn’t effect the ‘other project’ ; )”
So to recap – ‘Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light’ is by Crystal Dynamics and does feature Lara Croft but it is not Tomb Raider. ‘Tomb Raider 9′ is by Crystal Dynamics and does feature Lara Croft, it is Tomb Raider but has yet to be announced and is separate from LCATGOL.
Hey, the acronym is an anagram of LOLCAT (almost)! Maybe that is a hint as to what dangers Lara will face – terrifying Lolcats!
