Games companies must hate Twitter as so many secrets slip out on the twittersphere, most recently LittleBig Planet 2. Twitter is once again the source of leaks and this time they are for Batman Arkham Asylum 2. Actress Stana Katic has tweeted:
“Just recorded a character voice on the next Batman video game. Never did that before. Helpful hint: plenty of water and pineapple slices.”
Thankfully she clarified her role – if not the pineapple slices comment – with a second tweet a few hours later:
“For those who were asking: I’m voicing Talia al Ghul, the daughter of Ra al Ghul (played by Liam Neeson in “Batman Begins”)”
The name Stana Katic probably does not ring too many bells but you may of caught her as the character of Hana Gitelman in Heroes, Collette Stenger in 24 ‘s season 5, Corinne Veneau in the 007 movie Quantum of Solace or most recently as the staring role in ‘Castle’ with Nathan Fillion.
Meanwhile over on Geekcastradio (that looks too damn close to GeekCastration for my liking) actor Maurice LaMarche announced:
“Video games is hard work, I’ll say that. I’ve only done a handful, and I’m very lucky right now, I’m about to go in and do Mr. Freeze for Arkham Asylum 2.”
Again perhaps not the most recognisable name in Hollywood but I can reveal Mr LaMarche is an ‘Epic Win’ as he is the original voice of Chief Quimby in Inspector Gadget, Egon in The Real Ghostbusters, The Brain in Pinky And The Brain, Krif Kroker in Futurama and most importantly, Oscar Wildcat in Queer Duck!
