Right now a lot of you who are school age will be sitting exams. This, in my opinion, is sucky. They absorb all of your time, are distinctly unpleasant and seem a little daft when you think about it. I mean sure, there are situations in the real world where you’ll need to instantly recall details, but a lot of the time you’ll have some sort of briefing material with you. It’s just simpler and more reliable.
So with all that revision getting in the way, how do you manage to get any treasured gaming time in? That’s the issue with those nasty life commitments, like revising or going to your job, they tend to get in the way of the fun things. Sure a job might pay for your gaming habit, but really it gets in the way of playing all those lovely new games it’s let you buy. So how do you find the time for gaming in your life?
This is the problem I’ve always had, something I’ve talked about before. I’m terrible at planning my time, at allowing myself to say work, write for TSA and actually remember to eat. Plus the addictive quality of Twitter seems to eat up horrendous of my time. These things alone mean I rarely remember to do something actually fun, like playing a game. I don’t even have a ‘proper’ job, I remember how much worse I was at doing fun things when I was working all the time.
Do you manage to get a good balance of the things you need to do and the things you like to do? Does gaming take over? Do you forget that you work so you can do the fun things? Is gaming a treat you use to get yourself through the day?
Thanks to mynameisblair for throwing me this idea on MSN.
