Remember Joy Ride? It was a reasonably interesting free-to-play ModNation Racer-esque thing that was revealed at E3 2009, meant to be out last Christmas and to be funded by microtransactions.
Well, it’s been delayed again, and CVG are reporting that it’s going to be a Natal launch title, and thus not free anymore at all.
CVG’s source suggests the game has been “completely reworked” which suggests it’s no longer a racer but a free-roaming paint-em-up, or something. “The hope for us is that it will be a boxed release – we’re still in the dark on that one – but it’s definitely for Natal and will definitely be here for launch,” said the snitch.
It’s apparently “very intuitive”, and works well with Natal’s controls. All eyes on Microsoft’s E3 event on June 13th, then.
