Right, here goes. This is a bit of a mouthful so step away from the monitor, squint slightly and try to pronounce the title of this game: El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron. Phew!
This game was recently debuted in Japan but now it’s being announced for PS3 and Xbox360 in North American and EU territories. A 3rd person action fantasy game based on an ancient mythology and featuring various monstrous enemies and mammoth weapons is perhaps a description which could be applied to many games recently (Dante, Kratos, Bayonetta and that bloke from Darksiders are sharpening a shank as we speak). The twist in the tale for El Shaddai is that it is based on a book of the Old Testament – the Book of Enoch.
The premise is that Enoch must defeat the Fallen Angels in order to save humankind from the great flood which was ordered back when God used to be vengeful and have a bit of character about him. You know, before he went all “love thy neighbour” and tambourine-rattling when he had kids.
I’m going to be quiet now before I risk upsetting religionists again. Here are some screens.

Why are people so against this game because its part based on the bible. Battling fallen angels to save the earth sounds pretty much the same as any other game plot if you change the angel to alien/demon/bad guy/invading army. Stick a load of easy trophies on it and i bet you will all change your mind
