It looks like Sony are licensing their beloved PlayStation brand to things other than gaming consoles. In a statement from the company today, they said they’ll be granting the rights to use the famous logo, and the triangle, circle, cross and square marks, for accessories and other “life style” items – think t-shirts, mouse mats, potato peelers and go faster stripes for your car.
The packaging, according to a translation from AndriaSang, will show the same “Official Licensed Product” logo that’s already on the gaming consumables, and although Sony didn’t mention any specifics (ignore any mock-ups you’ll no doubt see later today) they did say that since licensing the brand to developers or console-based items over 45 manufacturers have used it.
What would you like to see with PlayStation branding on it?
