EA Announces ‘Create’

EA Play has announced the development of ‘Create’ – available this November for the Wii, PS3 featuring Move compatibility, Xbox 360, PC and MAC.

Looking very similar to LittleBigPlanet, Create “uses families’ imaginations to develop new ways to play together that are both fun and challenging” according to Harvey Elliott, VP and General Manager at EA Bright Light.

Players are tasked with exploring the game, solving level-based challenges, and customizing their world.  The more you play, the more rewards will be unlocked.

Players can design environments with easy-to-use brushes and tools which include textures, props and animating objects that bring the scene to life.

On the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and MAC players can share any of their creations, solutions or challenges with the community through the console and also via the official Create website at www.create.ea.com.  Friends can download and remix solutions and set challenges for other players to download and complete.

  1. lololol Electronic Arts what a pleasant surprise I can see Create failing due to it being so close to Littlebigplanet 2. If its a full retail release then oh dear….

  2. can’t really tell from the pictures but it doesn’t look as versatile as the lbp creator, looks like just premade objects, with thousands more on sale soon after release ;)

  3. Doesn’t look anywhere as good as LBP. I hope those are Wii screens.

    • It does look very much like a Wii game.

  4. Looks worse than LBP, I would buy LBP2 than this.

  5. Im not sure about this.

it would be insane for Sony to compete with itself and have a game like this on its console, especially since LBP2 is coming out soon (sure its not only on the PS3 but it will be really only competing with LBP)

  6. Its interesting to see move compatibility yet no kinect. At the moment it doesnt come across anywhere near as good as LBP2 is….

  7. EA is proud to announce LittleBigPlaigarism!

  8. So, your character is invisible? Well that’s new! Or is the bike/car on the screenshots the playable character? Meh! I prefer Sackboy. Just imagine putting a new funny hat on your bike :) I can’t see this being a huge success on the PS3, but it may sell quite a few copies on the other systems. Also as pointed out by others already, the game looks a lot more like Joe Danger than LBP.
