Host of GTTV – Geoff Keighley – has announced that the first ever showing of Dead Space 2′s multiplayer mode will be coming on tomorrow nights show. The episode will air in North America on Spike TV at 12:30am. No doubt the trailer will then be put up on the GameTrailers.com website for everyone to enjoy.
The hype for Dead Space 2 has been building rapidly – but EA has been tight lipped over the multiplayer aspect. We are looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us, and we will be posting the news as soon as we get it.

So, another one bites the dust. These days they have to tack on multiplayer on pretty much antything. I hope that at least this doesn’t affect the single player campaign in any way, particularly by turning it into co-op with a bot, a la RE5. B(

I hope and think your concerns will be alleviated by the fact that (I think) the single player will remain exactly that – one player and the MP side of things will likely be unrelated to the campaign.
I do agree that co-op through the single player could actually be a game breaker in this instance. I can hardly see me soiling my union suit (multiple times) like I did in Dead Space 1 if you’ve got some dimwitted fool (friend or otherwise) on the headset with Level 42 playing in the background. That is not in my receipe for survival horror!

I know this might have been said already, but if you type your e-mail address on the dead space website, you’ll get the video link on Friday, at around 9:00 am.

I’m hoping for some co-op modes. Would love to play this online with a friend.

This has certainly got the ability to make a very imteresting and intense (read: screaming down mic) MP. The original was my favourite horror game ever, and i hope, nay i pray this will be able to be even better.
