Visceral Games opened their merchandising store a while back with some rather nice T-shirts and a very excellent Dante’s Inferno hoody. Trust me, I know about these things, it’s very cool. Today they have announced a pre-order scheme for the also excellent Dead Space ‘Rig’ back pack. Gaze below at the awesomesauce..

Looks rather good, does it not? Well this fine piece of backwear can be yours for $40. No.. wait.. let me read this again. You can pay $40 now which grants you pre-order bonus of 3 mini lithographs and t-shirt and $40 off the back pack when it becomes available in January.
So if you get $40 off the back pack how much does it cost in total? $108 or using today’s exchange rate, £70, not including postage and packing.
I think that maybe just a teensy bit too pricey for me, for £70 I would expect it to have a full LED lighting system up the back which monitors my health and warns me when I need a Starbucks.

Ouch! A bit pricey indeed. Looks alright, though I can’t see myself wearing it.

It looks awful imo.
And the £70 price tag assures that only people with more money than sense will buy it too lol

£70 isn’t too bad for a bag, looks almost like a hiking bag. Is it waterproof?

That’s about what I’d expect to pay for a decent small backpack (cheaper than being off work due to back pain).
Unfortunately from looking at the pictures I’d say this doesn’t cut it if you’re going to carry any significant weight for a long time.

The VisceralStore has some other ‘quality’ gaming merchandise on it as well
I always kinda wanted the Dante’s hoody or T-shirt. but I’m too old and gaming is sad in the real world, isn’t it?

It is cool, but kinda ugly :| I probably would have worn it because I don’t care really what people think of me or what I wear… but I dunno, this just isn’t really very attractive at all. Nice idea though. Crysis are releasing one aswell I belive which looks much cooler, or so I found in the interwebs: http://www.tomshardware.com/gallery/crysis,0101-254715-0-2-3-1-jpg-.html
Now I totally would wear that one :)

I wouldn’t wear that if it was given to me! I’m definitely a closet gamer when it comes to merchandise!
