So yesterday we took a good look at the Catherine demo that is currently sitting on the Japanese PSN. We liked what we saw, saying it provided the most “intense puzzle gameplay”. A new trailer for the game has been released, and in keeping with tradition it’s on the weird side. According to Andriasang, the trailer:
“Is meant to be the introduction to “Golden Theater,” a play on a late night movie show. Catherine’s story mode is set up like a Golden Theater broadcast hosted by Midnight Venus, the girl with the giant red afro which appears to be animated with true physics.
Midnight Venus kicks off the night’s Golden Theater broadcast by asking viewers if they’ve heard rumors that those who see a nightmare where they’re falling and don’t wake up immediately, they’ll die in real life. She then introduces the stars of the upcoming feature presentation — that’s right, Catherine!”
Catherine is out in Japan within the next couple of weeks, and we only hope Atlus see fit to release it over here too.

Weird just doesn’t quite say it. Cannot wait to get my mind even further boggled by playing this game, a 2011 release would be awesome. Looking great!
