Amazon has temporarily suspended sales of the Cosmos Black 3DS console, at least sales directly from Amazon.com – it’s still available from other marketplace sellers.
“While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it’s described here,” says the page still live from this morning.
“We’re working to fix the problem as quickly as possible,” say Amazon, although it’s not clear what the problem actually is.
The issue was first noticed on GAF, but is now slowly spreading around the internet. Some chatter suggests it’s because of the known issue relating to the upper screen becoming marked by the lower screen if the clamshell is closed too quickly.
That doesn’t sound likely, especially as the Blue model is selling from Amazon.com just fine.

The one I ordered from Amazon didn’t come with any AR cards. To their credit, they refunded me 10% to make up for this mistake.

I had this problem too…. I got it from Game, although its gamebreaking… its a bit annoying to see smudges on the effing screen.

Mine collects fluff like it was the secret to everlasting electrical existence but I’ve never noticed smudges or marks. Perhaps it’s just an inventory problem with a batch from the factory missing a certain part of the package, like suggested above.

Mine has the problem of having nothing to play on other than a game ive been able to play on my wii (and if i felt i wanted tge break the law) on my phone too for a much cheaper price

Was tempted to get a 3DS over the weekend until I seen the only worthwhile games released so far are SF IV and Zelda.
I’m not in to fighting games & as good as Ocarina of Time is, there’s no way I’m getting a 3DS until a few more games come out.
