Activision has today announced NASCAR Unleashed for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and 3DS. The game “will allow players to take their racer “to the streets” by driving on AND off some of NASCAR’s most famous tracks.”
The game will have real world tracks such as Daytona International Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway(SM), Martinsville Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. There will also be race machines from 15 of NASCAR’s biggest names, including NASCAR Sprint Cup series drivers Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jeff Gordon, and Joey Logano.
NASCAR Unleashed is due out towards the end of the year.

Maybe this is just me not understanding the sport n’ all but I just don’t get how driving in a circular motion could be fun, I get why people watch it, but actually playing it and concentrating on those left turns, seems very repetitious to me…

NASCAR was far and away my least favourite part of gt5, I can’t stand the way the cars handle and the fact they all have to have EXACTLY the same specs ruins it for me. Safe to say there will be no upgrading your car available in this game.

the online NASCAR races we have had in TSA meets have been some of the most fun and closest.

I understand where people are coming from when they dislike NASCAR, but I have to say I enjoy it, it is a different type of challenge where the challenge comes from racing the other cars more than the tracks.
it isn’t for everyone but I certainly can appreciate it.

I think it’ll be great, and affordable at last. They were asking around £60 on E-Bay and Amazon for Nascar 2011 USA import, which I’d like to have tried but not at COD prices!
