Try TERA Now, For Free, In An Instant

Demo hits Gaikai stream.

If you have a good half an hour or so to burn, there’s better ways of doing it than twiddling your thumbs whilst pouring over E3 Twitter/news feeds. Teaming up with the good folks at En Masse, cloud gaming service Gaikai is offering anyone the chance to get stuck into recently-released action MMORPG, TERA.

All you have to do is follow this link and hit “play demo.” No log ins or tedious accounts registrations. No 10+GB file sizes. You just need a solid internet connection and your ready to go.

Offering three pre-made characters, each hailing from a different profession, the TERA demo drops you in right at the beginning. There are a smattering of pointless fetch quests to breeze through but it doesn’t take long to get to the highlight of the TERA experience, its intuitive real-time combat.

“Your bandwidth is not sufficient to stream a high quality experience”… so much for my 8Mb connection.. and it leaves me little hope for whatever game streaming service Sony might reveal.
