Whilst it certainly wasn’t the PlayStation Plus announcement we were hoping for, Instant Game Collection – the pack of twelve PS3 games just announced by Jack Tretton during the press conference – will be making its way to Europe.
Expect an EU Blog Post on the details at some point with the games included to be listed, but at least the same deal is happening here in some fashion. Hopefully we’ll be able to pick from the same tier of games.
We’ll let you know when the details come through.

No, the rotation is the games that are on offer, not how long you have them for. They’d just piss people off otherwise – imaging being really close to the end of a game, and then you turn it off to go to bed and then when you turn on your PS3 the next day to do that final boss battle you’ve got up to, you get a message saying “sorry, your time has expired”.

I’d guess they are games already on the store. To narrow it down look at all the first party titles on there as I’d guess they will most likely the bulk of the 12. Obviously with Saints Row 2 in there means a few older 3rd party games as well not just first.

I had to go back to the old tsa post that referenced “The Future Of PlayStation Plus” to check I didn’t dream it. Can someone tell me, preferably with a straight face how a bunch of free games is the future? How very anti-climactic Sony. Colour me disappointed.

Played just cause 2 on xbox but will happily, time permitting, play it again on ps3as that game is hella-fun.

Well I really thought this would be tied to the steaming thing. I can’t be bothered to download gigabytes of game on my almost full hard drive,even if they are free. What if I get attached to one? I have to keep it!

After all the hype I nearly followed nofi’s lead and purchased 3 months of PS+ the other day, think I will wait for SCEE to tell us what the deal is with this, but I bet it wont be as good as the SCEA deal
