The Entertainment Software Rating Board have listed the PlayStation 2 game ‘Haunting Ground’ for the PlayStation 3.
The game, published by Capcom, is a survival horror title in which a character named Fiona must navigate her way through Belli Castle.
She is helped by Hewie, her white German Shepherd who can be commanded to stay, follow, attack, fetch and to shake hands. Fiona can praise her pooch but he may not always follow her commands.
Capcom have not announced the game so we presume it will simply appear as a PS2 Classic download on the PlayStation Store.

I have been interested in playing this along with a few other survival horror games I missed on the ps2 like Clock Tower or Kuon but some of the prices they go for on ebay is well more that I’m willing to play – while it may just a ps2 digital release Capcom has sort of HD those two Resi Shooters and Okami is coming as an HD remake – maybe they think they can sell more copies by adding in trophies – which is probably true but so maybe Haunting Ground is getting a make-over too

Excellent! I hope like hell this game gets a retail release as well (don’t like download only so will pass i it got that route).
Got this game on PS2 and played it to death (100% completion). A tragically over-looked survival horror that really deserved more attention that it got as it was one of the best in its genre. It was one of my favourite PS2 games (and one of the few games I kept when I upgraded to the PS3).
PLEASE Capcom, release this game on disk!

They don’t release PS2 classics on disc, only HD remasters so i think you will be out of luck unfortunately.
It’s of course not been announced officially as yet & the fact that it might be part of the ‘classics’ is based on presumption, but it’s probably safe to assume this is correct.
