European PlayStation Store Download Charts Are In - Guacamelee! Rules

Luchadors, Crash and sneaking about.

The PS Blog has just published the charts for this month’s PSN downloads. The full games show that people who buy them must be a bit sneaky as Hitman HD Trilogy grabs the top spot with Deus Ex: Human Revolution in second and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time coming in third. Pricing might have something to do with their success, of course.

Defiance is at number six for full game downloads, behind Darksiders 2 and Crysis II, which I would imagine is seen as quite a success for the team at Trion.

  1. Hitman Trilogy HD (RE)
  2. Deus Ex: Human Revolution (RE)
  3. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (8)
  4. Darksiders II (2)
  5. Crysis 2 (RE)
  6. Defiance (New)
  7. BioShock Infinite (4)
  8. Grand Theft Auto IV (6)
  9. Hitman Absolution (RE)
  10. Injustice: Gods Among Us (New)

The PSN game chart is a little more interesting. Drinkbox’s fantastic Guacamelee! (review here) manages to take the top spot as the only new entry. Journey sits in second with Hitman: Blood Money HD in third. Metal Slug 2 re-enters the chart in sixth position while Mass Effect, Crysis and Amy all also make appearances.

  1. Guacamelee! (New)
  2. Journey (2)
  3. Hitman: Blood Money HD (RE)
  4. Crysis (RE)
  5. The Walking Dead – Season Pass (1)
  6. Metal Slug 2 (RE)
  7. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD (9)
  8. Urban Trial Freestyle (4)
  9. Mass Effect (5)
  10. AMY (8)

The Vita chart is also headed up by the cross-buy goodness that is Guacamelee! That knocked Urban Trial Freestyle down into second ahead of a re-entry for Sound Shapes. The real story for the Vita chart should perhaps be the number of new entries, which is comparatively high with four of the ten never appearing before. Soul Sacrifice is the biggest of the new entries but congratulations should also go out to Table Mini Golf and Draw Slasher for a strong showing.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time and Doodle God both managed to climb places this month too. That’s no mean feat given the new entries and re-entries that we saw. Vita software seems to be hotting up on the PSN Store.

  1. Guacamelee! (New)
  2. Urban Trial Freestyle (1)
  3. Sound Shapes (RE)
  4. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (6)
  5. Soul Sacrifice (New)
  6. Table Mini Golf (New)
  7. Ragnarok Odyssey (2)
  8. Doodle God (10)
  9. Draw Slasher (New)
  10. Persona 4 Golden (3)

Finally, we have the PSOne and PS2 Classics chart, where GTA: San Andreas and Crash Bandicoot show no signs of ever giving up their first and second positions. With another three Crash and two GTA titles in the top ten, including this month’s only new entry – GTA: Vice City Stories – it’s clear which classic franchises PlayStationeers love!

  1. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (1)
  2. Crash Bandicoot (2)
  3. Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped (4)
  4. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (5)
  5. CTR: Crash Team Racing (6)
  6. Spyro The Dragon Trilogy (7)
  7. Final Fantasy VII (8)
  8. GTA: Vice City Stories (New)
  9. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (3)
  10. Final Fantasy VIII (10)
