Ubisoft have just confirmed that South Park: The Stick Of Truth has been delayed until March 4th, 2o14. The game was scheduled to release in December, but a lot more work is apparently needed before it is ready to be shipped.
According to the publisher the amount of work needed to polish up South Park was underestimated, with the realisation soon coming that certain elements of the game had to be overhauled and reworked to meet the expectations of the people involved and potential consumers.
To try and soften the blow of this news Ubisoft have released a new trailer which shows just over 7 minutes worth of gameplay, and it does look pretty good, showing the animations looking very much like the show, and the turn based battles too.
South Park: The Stick Of Truth will be releasing on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

This all looks wonderfully silly. I want to see more of the menus though. If you can read quick (or can pause it), you see such things as “Weapon Strap-Ons”, which include a “Tuft of Ginger Pubic Hair”. This “Adds 20 Gross damage”. Obviously. What else could it do?
And Roshambo is one of the abilities? Excellent.

It looks awesome, and really the delay could work well – there’s not a chance I would have picked this up in December after buying a PS4 but in March there’s a good chance I will.

Really hoping this comes to next-gen at some point. Have sold all my current gen consoles to help pay for my X1 but definitely want to play this game.

Agree, would be good on PS4, but sure I can dust off the PS3 to give it a go. Looks great!
