kensnatch

Welcome one and all, time for another News Snatch, a post EGX News Snatch in fact which means Blair is here and TSA podcast regular Kev is sat behind me under a duvet and interjecting. Fnar. It also means there is a tonne of news that we need to catch up as most of the staff have been gallivanting around Earls Court and playing video games. Let’s start with something easy, the opening movie from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

Staying with Nintendo, a season pass has been announced for Hyrule Warriors and by pre-ordering it now for $19.99/€14.99, you can unlock a Dark Link costume straight away. The rest of the DLC is as follows:

  • Hyrule Warriors Characters (Free, September 30) – Three new playable characters (Cia, Volga, Wizzro)
  • Master Quest Pack (October 16) – New weapon, scenario, adventure map, and two costumes
  • Twilight Princess Pack (November) – New character, weapon, adventure map, and two costumes
  • Majora’s Mask Pack (January) – Two new characters, adventure map, and three costumes
  • Boss Pack (February) – Two new games modes

A dev diary from those lovely Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt chaps in which they explain there are “hundreds of points of interest including “natural rock formations”.

Kev: Yes, because that’s the first thing gamer’s will check out, the rock formations.

“Each one of these has been handcrafted, with it’s own backstory,” explain CD Projeckt Red.

Kev: You won’t believe the back-story they have written for these rock formations! Fascinating stuff!

After a number of high profile failures, Kickstarter have updated their terms and conditions, here is the important bit.

When a project is successfully funded, the creator must complete the project and fulfill each reward. Once a creator has done so, they’ve satisfied their obligation to their backers.

The creator is solely responsible for fulfilling the promises made in their project. If they’re unable to satisfy the terms of this agreement, they may be subject to legal action by backers.

Guillermo del Toro talks P.T. Meanwhile, Kev has broken Velocity 2X and glitched the game.

Kev: Has anyone else noticed in Velocity 2X, how frequently the shaved side of Kai Tana’s head swaps sides?

Up above we have trailer for NBA 2KTV, the TV show within the game, whilst below we have a trailer for the actual game, which ends with a little teaser for the NBA 2K15 MyPark mode

The campaign for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is “Coming in longer than the last few,” according to Sledgehammer Games co-founder, Glen Schofield.

A very short trailer for Alien: Isolation.

Kev: Not a snappy hashtag, is it?

So this is Woah Dave! and it’s coming to PS Vita and PlayStation 4, priced somewhere between $1 and $10. It’s a single screen platformer with retro pixel graphics, you can imagine how much I like it.

A new loot cave has been discovered in Destiny.

A new trailer for Far Cry 4, to celebrate the news that there will be white and black PS4 Far Cry 4 packs which will be launched with the game.

  1. Kris has obscured my face. Terrible picture.

  2. I see they’ve mo-capped Nolan North’s face, as you can see it’s features shining through Nathans. Pretty cool.

  3. From the Witcher 3 video I learned there is such a thing as Quality Assurance Specialist. I do not know what that is but it sounds like you have to criticize a lot.
    When can I start ?
    :D

  4. My missus loved the Assassins creed kitten video

  5. I always enjoy a bit of snatch, but does anyone else have a problem with the videos not appearing in the correct order while viewing on their mobile?

  6. A genuinely fascinating insight into the inner workings of TSA.
