Q*Bert Rebooted Announced For PS4, PS3 and PS Vita

Well this is a game you probably were never expecting to play on PlayStation 4, the classic and thirty five (!) year old arcade game, Q*Bert.

The game will be cross-buy and launches on February 18th and along with the original game you get the reboot which replaces cubes with hexagons. “That may not sound like a game-changer, but it is. Suddenly, you get some really interesting level designs, especially later in the game,” say Loot Entertainment.

There will also be time and score challenges, new enemies with their own unique behaviours, new playable characters, power-ups, traps, and gem-collecting.

  1. Not expecting but welcoming! Yeah I’m that old..

Played it on an Atari 2600.. Oneday buy with the chance of becomming a plus title…

    • I remember my mate having it on cartridge on the Atari. That must have been quite a few years after it was released though otherwise I would’ve been a 1 year old and I can’t remember what happened 2 days ago.

  2. I’ve been hoping for something like this to come along :) could never understand why more wasn’t done with the old PS3 version? How much will this set us back??

  3. Personally, not sure about this – Generally you find that when you replay a game that you remember from your youth, it’s rarely as you remember it & can often spoil the experience by playing it again when things have moved on technologically. Some things should stay where they are in my opinion… & that would be as a fondly recalled memory.
