In a distopian future where humanity has torn itself apart through wars and natural disasters, only the mega-corps survive to do battle with one another. Even then, they will only strike from the shadows and undermine eachother with covert, deniable ops.
Just like everyone else, it seems, Ruffian Games and Paradox Interactive have set their E3 trailer loose onto the internet a week ahead of the show itself. Rather than diving too deep into the gameplay, this focusses instead on the backstory and the setting of the world in the distant future.
The gameplay itself is a blend of 2D and 3D ideas, as you and any co-op buddies you can bring along engage in operations around the world. Much of the action takes place on a 2D plane, but each scene extends deep into the background, allowing you to do battle with enemies in a kind of 3D shooting gallery.
The second of Paradox’s games being brought to PlayStation 4 alongside a PC release, we can expect to see more of the game at E3 next week, but until then, you can check out our preview from PDXCon earlier this year.

The story had me really interested, and then I saw the gameplay… I mean, it looks ok but nothing special.
