If you’ve ordered the Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition then you should get, or have got, an email from the retailer of your choice stating that order should be cancelled due to Warner Bros. pulling the edition just a week ahead of the game’s release. The issue is apparently down to “circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of the Batmobile.” There is no information as to what the issue is with the model, though it could be a manufacturing fault where the Batmobile just falls apart.
If you’ve ordered with GAME then you can get £20 credit towards the Red Hood Edition of Batman: Arkham Knight, which will be automatically applied to the order you’ve placed.

And regretfully, Game lacks the ability to increase the deadline by another week or two. They are only giving 6 days notice and that’s just not enough. They should give us two weeks at least and the £20 discount is nice but this is Game. Chances are, you can get the Red Hood Edition cheaper on Amazon.

People would also be cross if it didn’t arrive at release surely? If they gave you two weeks you’d be missing the release date.

Don’t think it’s Game fault as it is purely from Warner Bro. Batmobile has been pulled from all other retails too!
Forrest_01
Yeah, as Del says, its the edition that’s been pulled from sale, not that Game have chosen not to sell it.
I think the fact that they have bothered to notify customers & give them something in return is actually pretty good tbh.

I for one am very angry at this! Was really looking forward to it. The game was suppose to be out last month but got delayed and now it’s out in just 6 days time and they pull this edition out!
I still have the other edition the one with the Batman statue bust and it better be in good condition! I would like to know if this Batmobile edition will be released separately (no game) and cheaper obviously due to no game, DLC comic etc…. in the future.
Will have to keep an eye out! I would be really disappointed if it does sold out in the future when I had it pre-odered since January!

I pre ordered my copy before Christmas knowing this would run out as it had across other retailers. Now after waiting nearly 7 months we all get the cancellation at least GAME informed customers about this quickly compared to other retailers.
Warner Brothers and there Batman twitter pages have no information on this, which of course they should keep everyone updated. All customers who have been let down should get the LE but now it is too late, sold out.
Scythegpd
I’m massively annoyed as well.
Not sure what’s going on but it seems that a few more of the statue editions have become available, I just managed to nab a pre-order through Amazon 10 minutes ago. Worth skedaddling over there ASAP to try your luck!
Getting th statue edition, whilst not as great as the batmobile one, is still better than nothin if you’re into collectors editions!

Publishers can’t win, but these comments aren’t half as bad as if you’d spent all that money then got a batmobile that looked more like a pile of molten plastic.
Be glad someone actually looked at the final product and said “this looks shit, we can’t get away with releasing this”, a statement not uttered within the industry for many years by now. Many years indeed.
JoeBoi
Exactly this. Game have actually rewarded customers for this as well which is pretty sweet. They don’t have to.
Starman
Yes but this is Warner Bros, the company that told the Arkham Origins dev to work on dlc instead of fixing game breaking bugs. It must be something that would make it dangerous like sharp edges rather than looking crap.

I’m not upset they’ve canned the batmobile if it wasn’t up to scratch, but what has pissed me off is that I’m missing out on all the extras that came with it.
I’d rather Game kept the 20 quid and gave me the Red Hood edition with the comic, etc. Or downgraded me to the limited edition with the bust, however that’s sold out.
On a side note, what are they going to do with all the content that wasn’t the batmobile…
