Frogwares’ Sherlock Holmes games have been going a long time now, with Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter the eighth game in the series. There’s been a fair amount of evolution along the way, shifting from a first person view and fairly standard puzzle solving to something more nuanced and with a slant towards more action gameplay in the most recent entries.
The Devil’s Daughter is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 27th, they’ve now announced, and looks to take the series to the next logical step. It features a younger Holmes than in Crimes & Punishment, the most recent game in the series, but carries on with that game’s freedom to deduce and interpret the evidence in several different ways, while also adding in a more open design and set pieces like having to tail a suspect or witness.
