Destiny 2’s Iron Banner 6v6 Has Been Postponed

A “late-breaking issue” has delayed the next round of Iron Banner trials in Destiny 2 so they are being postponed and will be replaced by Rumble, which is being dialled back down to 3v3 after a trial period of it running as 4v4.

“We’ve found that all players in 6v6 matches are returned to Orbit with ANTEATER errors when reaching certain score and timer conditions,” posted Bungie, “We are actively working on a fix for this issue, but will not be able to release this by April 10. Iron Banner will return as soon as we can issue a fix. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

In other Destiny 2 news the Control match type is reverting back to how it functioned in the original game. Zones will no longer be automatically captured at the start of the match, and the time taken to capture a zone will decrease depending on the number of players capturing the zone. Previously the capture time was consistent no matter how many players were at the zone.

  1. Yet another thing Bungie messed up. It’s become a complete joke to be honest. Every single thing they try and do releases with problems.

  2. Rumble is moving to six players, rather than 8 – not 6v6.

Not that it matters, they still have a long way to go until this is playable. I’m still playing D1 pvp.

    • Yes it says 3v3 when really it’s 1v1v1v1v1v1.
