Rumours of magazine scores before the thing goes to print are quite common, with leaks from the distributors and early subscribers abound. We heard about Lair’s critical review last week, but now scans are available of the magazine we can finally confirm that, yes, Factor 5’s ambitious dragon-based scrapper is complete rubbish.
Except it’s not, of course. Even taking into account that one average review, we strongly suggest you take the time to play the game for yourselves before writing it off. Lair is stunning in scope and deserves to be the flagship title Sony are pushing just now. Sadly, there’s no concrete European release, but the game is due out in a couple of weeks in the States.
