Cake For Me And You

The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed our Release Dates page which lists everything that is coming out if we have a definite date for it. Look, it’s even up there on the main navigation bar at the top of each page. Sometimes we have a definite date but it is put back at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. We try to keep on top of that too so that the Release Dates page is always kept as up to date as we can keep it (except for when Alex goes on holiday and leaves it to Peter, things might slip a bit under those circumstances…). For those of you who haven’t gotten into the habit of checking the Release Dates page regularly for all your PSN store-related content updates we’ve put together a little synopsis of what you can expect when SCEE plant a sweaty palm firmly on the big red “upload” button around tea-time tomorrow.

This week prepare to have your cake and eat it too. That’s right, this is the week we finally get our grubby little mitts on Fat Princess. Two princesses, thirty-two players, lots of addictive battling and cake consumption. With an already announced “Quest for Cake” Home event, confirmation of the £11.99/€14.99 pricing and TSA impressions from the beta, we’re sure this will be a massive success for Sony.

Who’s watching the Watchmen? Well I was. After sitting down with my housemates and watching the anti-hero masterpiece in glorious 1080p it is no surprise that this is the week that Watchmen: The End Is Nigh Part 2 is released. Play as either Rorschach or Nite Owl in the second part of this episodic downloadable game. There is a trial of the game where you can get a nice taste, which then just requires the £9.99/€12.99 unlock key to play the full game. For those of you more inclined towards tangible purchases can always pick up both episodic parts on disc as of now in most retailers.

Those are the only full game releases this week, however there will be a demo for Numblast, a game where somewhat unsurprisingly you blast numbers. The demo will allow you to give the Time Trial and Tutorial modes a whirl for a limited period of three days.

As always Rock Band and Guitar Hero get their DLC updates include Blink-182, Weezer and Kiss for Rock Band, with (perhaps my favourite band) Protest The Hero for Guitar Hero. Check out the full list of songs on our Release Dates page.

There will also be free DLC for both Fight Night Round 4 and Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires, as well as paid updates for Buzz! Quiz TV, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, and this weeks TSA Challenge game, Rag Doll Kung Fu.

Remember that we will bring you a full list once the store goes live or everything that is released with their prices.
