FF XIII: Spring 2010 For UK

Following our story about Final Fantasy XIII being playable at TGS there was some discussion in the comments about when we are likely to see it released.  So having stumbled across an article on VG247 mentioning the intended release schedule while looking for something else we thought you might like to know.

No specific months have been named yet but the plan is to release it in Japan this winter whilst the US and Europe should see it in spring 2010.  The US will see the game before Europe due to the increased time it will take to localise the game for the many Old World countries.

The game’s producer, Yoshinori Kitase, says that despite the long gaps between US and EU releases of previous titles, for FF XIII “there should be a considerably shorter gap and [we’ll] bring it to European territories as close to the North American release as possible”.

FF XIII is a PS3 exclusive in Japan but will see a simultaneous release on both PS3 and 360 in Europe and the US.
