Magic Ball gets Winter DLC

We said a while back that Magic Ball (review) will be getting DLC, and this is continuing this week with a new “Winter” add-on pack. The new DLC will introduce new interactive objects such as igloos, penguins, glaciers and polar bears, 24 new levels and new trophies. The Winter pack will become available tomorrow on the PSN in Europe and the 14th January in North America. Joystiq is stating the price to be the same as the last DLC, $2.99, which in European terms is around £1.87 / €2.08, but likely to be the same as before.

TikGames and Creat Studios are also castrating the title of the game, changing it from “Magic Ball” to “Magic Orbz”, which will be most noticeable when an additional patch is released at the same time that’ll change the name of the game quite literally.

“TikGames and Creat Studios are thrilled to deliver even more fun-filled and addictive content for our Magic Obrbz fans on PlayStation® Network and we look forward to introducing the excitement to new players, as well.” says Anatoly Tikhman, Founder and CEO of TikGames, LLC.

“With our original title and two add-on packs, Magic Orbz delivers countless levels for both single and multiplayer gameplay. TikGames and Creat Studios are proud to continue our commitment and support of downloadable content.” says Vladimir Starzhevsky, co-founder and CEO of Creat Studios, Inc.

Check out the new DLC trailer below. The snow might be gone by the time we get this, but at least it’ll live on digitally. Also, the trailer says there’s 24 new levels, but the press release states 25. So it’s either or.
