Marvel Tōkon roster adds Deadpool, Loki, and Blade

Marvel Tokon roster Deadpool Loki Blade Ghost Runner

Comic book icons Deadpool, Loki, and Blade have officially joined the Marvel Tōkon roster, PlayStation and Arc System Works have announced. Unveiled with a new gameplay trailer during EVO 2026, the popular fighting game tournament also brought us news of the upcoming Marvel Tōkon open beta that will be available on PS5 and PC from July 24th to July 26th.

Bringing the total number of playable fighters at launch to 20, here’s the scoop on Marvel Tōkon’s newly announced superhero team up:

“Ghost Rider (voiced by Giancarlo Sabogal), who had already been revealed, is now joined by Blade (voiced by Imari Williams), Loki (voiced by Jason Spisak), and Deadpool (voiced by Nolan North) to form a new team.

Not the Midnight Sons—but the Samurai Outriders. Were you expecting this lineup?

The Samurai Outriders are a group of dark heroes. As you might expect, they don’t start out as a cohesive unit… in fact, they’re quite the opposite.

As they face threats to the world, how each of them—and the team as a whole—grows and evolves is something you can look forward to experiencing in Episode Mode.”

In the latest trailer, the developers also give us a glimpse at a new stage – Asgard – that features five areas including the Observatory, Bifrost Bridge, Throne Room, Treasure Vault, and Yggdrasil, the World Tree. Like the other stages to appear in-game, Asgard is bound to include plenty of secondary character cameos and Easter eggs for Marvel fans to spot.

Of course, there are already plans to expand the game’s line-up of characters and stages via post-launch DLC. Those buying either the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate editions of Marvel Tōkon will get access to all unannounced Year 1 content though there is no word on how many characters will actually be included. Given the game’s team-based focus, it wouldn’t surprise us if new fighters came clustered together rather than being drip fed into the roster over the coming months.
