Namco Bandai have today released some new screens for Enslaved, the new game from Heavenly Sword makers Ninja Theory.
Enslaved is a post-apocalyptic retelling of the classic 400-year old novel ‘Journey to the West’. The game is Set 150 years from now and players take on the role of Monkey, a strong and athletic, yet solitary figure, who along with the technically savvy trip were both captured by a mysterious slave ship. Once they escape Trip links the two using a hacked slave headband,therefore, if she dies, he dies.
Throughout the game both characters wander the land, exploring the war-ravaged cityscapes and trying to avoid the constant threat of capture and mortal peril.
The game is an original story co-written by famed novelist and screenwriter, Alex Garland, (The Beach, 28 Days Later) and as you can see below, it is looking extremely hot, which you would expect from these very talented developers.
Enslaved is due for release later this year on both Xbox 360 and PS3.
