New Releases: April 5th – 11th

Behold! The seasons of our time are changing! How do we know? Is it from the birds a-tweeting in the trees? Perhaps because the clocks have sprung forward and stolen an hour of sleep while simultaneously gifting us with brighter mornings? No. We acknowledge this incessant and subtle seasonal shift by the ageless perennial sign our ancestors used as irrefutable evidence that we, as a planet, were forever spinning through the cosmos on a journey toward nothingness: there are shag-all games out this week.

And here you were thinking last week was bad.

As a month for new games, April isn’t a dud by any stretch of the imagination. Expect GTA: Episodes From Liberty City to finally hit on the PS3, Spinter Cell: Conviction for the 360 and other gems such as Dead To Rights: Retribution and Nier to finally make an appearance in the coming weeks.

But for now, all we have is the following. And, come on, we’re not fooled. It’s not even a new game. It’s a bundle. A stinkin’ bundle!

Friday:

Borderlands Add-on Pack

Release date: April 9th
Platforms: 360
Publisher: 2K Games
Developer: Gearbox

Synopsis: Hard to explain, this one. It’s Borderlands’ first two DLC packs, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, on one handy retail disc. The catch? It’s only for the 360. Yep – no PS3 version of this bundle exists. It is also coming for the PC though, if that floats your boat.
