Sony have just let us know that our old friend SingStar is getting one hell of a patch: the Online Battle mode. “It’s time”, said Sony, “to put your voice to the test on the global stage.” Yes – that’s right, online sing offs.
Simply grab the patch, which is due in June, and then you’ll have an Online Battle mode from the Play SingStar main menu. Pick from your PSN mates, send an invite and match up some songs and you’re good to go.
You’ll be able to see your opponent’s score live, and you’ll see them singing over via the PlayStation Eye.
Seriously, wicked.
