Beautiful Marvel vs Capcom 3 Screens

Any of you who have paid attention to me ever will probably know of my love of comic books. With the exception of Batman, I’m a loyalist to Marvel (with a pinch of Image Comics). Sure DC have great heroes like Batman and… oh wait. They only have Batman. That explains it then. Anyhow my love of Marvel and of fighting games combined last month with the announcement of the incredible looking Marvel vs Capcom 3 for release sometime next year.

Given how near we are to the announcement and to E3 I really wasn’t expecting any more news on the title until at least the big show, but it seems that the folks over at Capcom Unity have got their hands on a set of screens that appeared in a recent issue of American publication, Games Informer, with commentary from the game’s producer Niitsuma-san.

My take on the screens? They look absolutely incredible. The colours are beautiful, the art style looks great and the wealth of weapons and moves on show make the game look really interesting. They’ve stated that they’re going for a moving comic style in the artwork, and a lot of what’s on show backs that up. Sadly the characters themselves seem a little bit of a let down, looking a little rubbery. It isn’t too noticeable on most characters, but it’s very prominent on the Hulk.

Anyway take a look for yourself, or head on over to Capcom Unity’s gallery for the incredible high-res shots.
