You already know that today is Sony’s Day Of 3D, but whilst you’re waiting for the Store to get itself up and running with your 3D goodies, chuck WipEout HD into your PS3 and grab the patch that’s there already waiting for you and your brand new TV.
The patch, which takes the US version of WipEout HD to version 2.20 (Euro version incoming) is just 9 megabytes and converts the whole thing to stereoscopic TV. Reports suggest a massive improvement in immersion, and could well be the 3D killer app.
We’re assuming the patch for PAIN will be along shortly, and the one for Super Stardust HD has been out for days.
Update: there’s a downloadable token for the PAIN demo if you have the full game already installed.

It looks great, but the split screen multiplayer is gone when in 3d mode, which sucks when you have 2 pair of 3d glasses for your TV. Guess the ps3 cannot handle the additional load :/
