Criterion are starting to open up about their new EA-powered Need For Speed title, which appears to be drawing heavily from the Burnout Paradise ethos of exploration and scope.
On the official Criterion Games Twitter account, the details are starting to emerge about what sounds like being one hell of an open world follow up to one of last year’s best racing games.
First up, the size: “Over 100 miles of open road,” says the spokesperson for the studio. “Ten and a half square miles,” it contines, following up with “Four times larger than Paradise City” as if to give the stats some sense of scale. Pretty massive, let’s hope it’s interesting too.
But that’s not it, the game has just been confirmed to run in 3D on PC and PS3, and Criterion have managed to lock down Porsche exclusively for the game.
And speaking of Porsche – that amazing looking thing above is the 918 Spyder, which was unveiled in March and, apparently, playing in Hot Pursuit 3 days later. Nice, if you’re working on the game.
