Want to know what the first two month’s worth of PlayStation Plus will be? Well, SCEE’s James Thorpe has confirmed what you’ll be getting with your PlayStation Plus right up until September 1st in a comment in this post on the EU Blog. Some bargains, some great deals and lots and lots of content, although most of it is pretty old.

    Shatter free trial is good (but I expect that to be the free game in the not too distant future), I got he MS speed pack, but not the adrenaline one (score!), both PS1 games are brilliant, if not in the top 10 PS1 games EVAR!, and some quite good discounts (shame it’s not a blanket 10%, though)

  2. Although I’m disappointed with the 1st couple of months, wipeout hd, destruction derby and medievil interest me a lot not to mention I cud finally get the steel and titanium pack, can’t wait to see what month 3/4 will hold :)

  3. Once I join PSN+, I won’t be buying anything from the store for risk of it becoming available for free. Unless they offer some sort of rebate service for the games that I had brought recently?

  5. wow this really disappoints me..
    I was expecting the “Full Game Trial” to be blueray games.. not psn titles -.- you can even play trough shatter in 30 mins, so thats kind of retarded..
    And i already have all games for the next two coming months 8( (all minis the minis and the game trials.. ) DOH!

      Actually serious point, I wonder if sales will plummet whilst everyone waits to see if its free next month on PSN+

      • not that many.. but yeah.. i got all the games coming the next two months in psn+ 8/
        except derby ps1 title >< and the fury pack..

      • Not immediately, I don’t think, but I know that I’ll be changing my buying patterns to not get games I’m not 100% sure about, and see if they pop up on PSN+ half a year down the line (by this point, they’ll likely be on offer anyway).

  8. I’m on the fence atm. It does seem very good value for money but I don’t really purchase that much off of the Store.

  9. As someone else said, PS+ should really be appealing to every subscriber every month. In this format, this will be a case of hit or miss each month, which is hardly ideal for people that have paid for a year.

    The opening month looks ok, with LBP and Wipeout – both cracking games. However, I suspect most people that want these have them already so again my response would be indifference. Good for Sony of course, since they can look like they’re giving a great deal when infact, sales of these two games will have peaked long ago.

  10. Outstanding value for any new PS3 owners, but they need to do something for those of us who’ve already bought the vast majority of content.
