Hmmm… I’ll (possibly) jump on board in month 3 then as I have the vast majority of that content.
poorwretch
same here but I wouldn’t be so sure that after 2 months this is going to change, there is a lot of stuff to be recycled. I admit the most enticing thing for me is the discounts, but unless they are for newly released games its going to be a problem cause I already own everything that I like from psn.

Can you do a month at a time? Sorry if this a daft question, which has been asked many times…
Danza Di Fuoco
No its three months

What is the LBP game? it better not be the crappy PSP version….
freezebug2

I’m not convinced by these but I will wait and see in the future. I am interested in the concept and the price seems ok so I’m open to what they might offer next after these two months

I know this is kinda negative, especially since it hasn’t even launched yet, but I want to know what happens when they stop doing this in a few years time. If the PS4 gets a whole new online network, what will happen to the content that only works when you’re subscribed?
Apart from my natural English pessimism, it looks like a good variety of things there that people will like. And it should only get better. Sony usually aren’t too good at launching new products, but this is very impressive.

If they stop charging and shovelling out content, I would hope you get to keep what you have. But I would assume we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

As expected, quite a bit of the “free” stuff I already have, like Wipeout, LBP, etc., and the push demos are for games I already have – can you turn them off? Is it clever enough nit to send you a demo or a game you own?
However, I was planning to buy Fury at some point so appreciate the discount, plus don’t have the Killzone DLC. Also both the PS1 titles are games I’d always meant to get around to, so seems like a good package for my £4 a month…

Already have a lot of the stuff, but at least most of it is top quality stuff. Will still be subscribing on the basis that as time goes on we’ll get more new content and less recycled things.

I really like these offerings. There are some games like Zen Pinball that I just never got around to buying, and nice little add-ons like themes and avatars that I wouldn’t be able to justify buying normally. Add DLC and Minis (I <3 Fieldrunners!) and I'm sold 100%. Now I want the Heavy Rain DLC at a discount.
PS: I love how people try and rationalize a subscription service. As in $50 a year is only $4 a month is only $1 a week is only $0.15 a day is only $0.05 an hour. Or whatever. It's a lump sum.

See this is what worries me about PS+ – I own the main games given away in the first two months – this reinforces my belief that people who take up PS+ will be less likely to actually buy the Store content, and I struggle to see how a huge drop in PS Store sales is good for the PlayStation business?
If I took out a PS+ subscription I would probably stop purchasing games and just play the free stuff…
kivi95
they wont release the newest games
Apnomis
Exactly so you either buy the stuff at launch and render PS+ completely pointless because you already own it by the time it is released free or discounted, or people just play the older games that are released and wait for the new releases to come to PS+ for free.
If you intend to continue to buy all the best PSN games at launch, why on Earth would you pay £40 for PS+ other than for the background downloading and the occasional exclusive theme or avatar?

PSN+ feels like a sales bin. Games that are no longer selling in the store and are now handed out to people paying a subscription. I wonder what the long term effect is with all those subscribers not buying a game upon it’s release waiting for it to be released via PSN+.
jimmy-google
With only 1 PSN game a month being included you may have to wait a very long time to get it.
Radboud
Well, a lot of stuff I haven’t got already.
Even if I would have had it, I would have signed up anyway…
