Already rocking the 360 since June 3rd, the PS3 will finally see the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Pack release tomorrow, July 7th. It’s out today on the PC.
The second pack for the über-popular shooter, the new DLC comprises of five multiplayer maps. Resurrected from the many war-dead, you can expect versions of Strike and Vacant first experienced in previous Call of Duty, Modern Warfare (COD4), while FPS fans will also get their war-soiled hands on Carnival, an abandoned amusement park; Trailer Park, which is exactly what it sounds like, and Fuel, which is not 14,400 square kilometres of open game world from Codemasters but an oil refinery.
Resurgence will cost the princely sum of £10.99. We don’t know the euro price but we expect it to be just as exorbitant.

that must be why there was a update earlier and double XP is on

Really shouldn’t buy this but not sure I can resist. I’ll download it play it excitedly for 20 minutes and then just feel guilty and dissatisfied. It’s some sort of digital crack I tell ya!

I am totally with you there. Every inch of my being would love to put my middle finger up to IW and Activision and say “Screw You. I’m not paying that price for 3 new maps” but then the junkie shakes kick in and I buy it alongside everyone else. I’m part of the problem, not the solution.
I think with the amount of cash they’ve made from us they should do a fan service pack for free to say that you for paying to add diamond studs to their gold plated rocket cars.

Still have MW2 in the wrapper. What am I missing? Anything? Nothing? Everything?
BIGAL-1992
Only the pang of disappointment when you realise COD4:MW was better than MW2.
MegaBonez
I never played the last one, which means I remain disappointment free! YAY!

Depends on a few things.
You’re missing out on something if you have/are any of the following;
1. Someone who enjoyed the first game
2. Someone who wants to know the rest of the story
3. Someone who enjoys an eclectic, interesting, engaging, if a little confusing single player campaign rammed with action
4. Someone who enjoys a fairly simple on the surface, but can get a bit deeper (although not much) multiplayer experience
5. Someone who follows the masses
6. Someone who is into games, and doesn’t care that it’s ‘cool’ to hate CoD atm.
7. Have a lot of friends who play
Of course if you
1. Never played the first one
2. Find the multiplayer a maelstrom of morons and shitheads
3. Enjoy very coherent story telling
4. Don’t like FPS games very much
Then you’re not missing a damn thing.

Gotta disagree with 5 of your 7 initial points Blayney, but please read with a jokey tone, I’m not trolling, just offering a counterpoint :)
You’re not missing out on anything if you have/are any of the following.
1. Someone who enjoyed the first game.
2. Someone who liked the story in the first game and doesn’t want to see it go from vaguely credible to completely ludicrous, sub-80’s action flick twoddle.
3. Someone who enjoys an eclectic (there’s little variety – crap vehicles dont count), interesting(the plot is retarded) single player campaign rammed with so much action that suspension of disbelief becomes completely impossible.
4. Someone who liked the fairly simple, well balanced multiplayer experience replete with dedicated servers.
6. Someone who is into gamess and doesnt care that it’s cool to hate COD – should stick with COD4, the series pinnacle.
I’d look at selling it whilst the resale value is high, I adored COD4:MW and still think it has some of the best single and multiplayer around.
MW2 could easily be subtitled “The Phantom Menace” such is its relvance and contribution to the series.

trophies lol

I think it sucks that XBOX 360 get it way earlier, it’s disgusting customer service on the part of Activision!
Burgess_101
well when your offered few thousand/million to realese the dlc on a certain platform 1st then a month later anyway id happily accept that but anyway i hate Mw2 with a passion so i wont be buying it anyway so i couldnt care less
spekjemean
Back in the day CoD 4 was a revolution in FPS! Now every sequel/DLC is just a different background! I wont be getting this or Black ops. Better games out there now.
Big Goose
yet more rip-off dlc that millions of blind morons will throw money down a rat hole for!
tonycawley
Yes it’s expensive, but who are you to call people blind morons for buying something they enjoy?
iAvernus
Agreed. I for one like playing it. I admit, it’s not the best ever, but it’s given me allot of hours of fun with friends. So I’ll buy it, but I’ll never buy another COD again…unless there’s some huge changes.

RIP OFF

Origami Killer

Shakugan
