Overnight we revealed that Just Add Water were working with Oddworld Inhabitants on some Oddworld games. This morning we’ve had a brief chat with the man behind Just Add Water, Stewart Gilray, on what the deal is all about, and have copied the short interview in full below.
TheSixthAxis: How long have you been working with Oddworld Inhabitants?
Stewart Gilray: We started talking in June 2009.
TSA: How many games are in the pipeline?
SG: Can’t say at the moment I’m afraid.
TSA: Can you reveal which formats any of the games are for?
SG: Not yet, soon, but not yet..
TSA: Will they be new games, or ports of existing ones?
SG: That’s extremely difficult to answer, so I’m not going to.
TSA: What’s your personal favourite Oddworld game?
SG: The first two Abe games are actually 2 of my all-time favourite games.
TSA: What drew you to the Oddworld series as the next project for Just Add Water?
A chance meeting last year.
TSA: Are you excited about the portable release of Gravity Crash, and do you have any further plans for the game after that?
SG: Extremely excited, after all it’s out next week. We’re extremely proud of the game. We don’t want the recent “Oddworld” announcement to take away from the Gravity Crash Portable release on PSN next week.
Short answers, sure, but he’s a busy man and there’s not a huge amount that’s currently public. We’re looking forward to what’s coming for Oddworld fans as much as everyone else, though, so keep your eyes on TheSixthAxis and the Just Add Water website for all the news.

I saw this guys panel at Eurogamer Leeds.
If he knows as much about Oddworld as he does about spacey shooters its in very very safe hands

Wow talk about being cagey! He really didn’t want to give anything away, about the only thing that interview tells you is that the first two Abe games are his favourite. Which in itself is a good thing as hopefully that is what they are going back to with the new game…
Charmed_Fanatic
wow am i overwhelmed with happiness? i cant say at the moment

Theres probably only 3 questions which hes answered! When it started, what his favourite games are, and Gravity Crash on the PSP.
I didnt like Gravity Crash, but will hopefully enjoy Oddworld.
