Halo: Reach Gets GAME Bundle

Despite falling retail figures, it looks like GAME and Gamestation still have some grunt when it comes to the big guns – in this case, Microsoft’s so-called “biggest game of 2010”, Halo: Reach.

Launching alongside the game on September 14, the limited edition bundle features an “exclusive” silver design Xbox 360, two custom Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers with artwork inspired by the game, a Standard Edition copy of Halo: Reach, a token for the Limited Edition Elite armour set, an episode of Halo Legends and a Halo: Reach-themed Xbox 360 wired headset.

If that’s not enough, the specially designed console will also have some of the menu noises changed to those from the Halo canon, including a new disk opening sound effect and another when you switch it on.

Hardcore. Thankfully, the thing will still play Limbo.

Adam Davis, Trading Director for GAME and Gamestation said: “We’re delighted to have secured this exclusive. Our customers in GAME and Gamestation are already really excited about Halo: Reach and this limited edition Xbox 360 will be a must-have for Halo fans. The bundle offers amazing value and adds an extra dimension to one of the mostly hotly-anticipated launches of the year.”

  1. Sounds mental, but the pricing almost makes sense if you’re a HALO nut looking to upgrade to the new console. £200 for the standard slim, plus £40 for the game means you’re paying £10 for the limited edition console and all the gubbins.

  2. “this limited edition Xbox 360 will be a must-have for Halo fans” – Seriously? Would people really buy another console just to get this? How can anyone ever judge the true number of consoles sold when you have people rebuying them all the time?

If you were a mental 360 fanboy you must be on your 10th console by now – buying the original, then the Elite, then the Halo 3 edition, the Halo ODST edition, the 250GB Slim model, and now the Halo Reach Slim model, not to mention all the RROD replacements in the mean time!

  3. I’m a great halo fan, AND i’ve been meaning to upgrade to the new console. That makes this a pretty sweet deal for something extra special aswell!

  4. £1000 + i expect MS to price it at
