It seems like only the other day Codemasters mentioned a new DiRT game was on the way (oh wait, it was), and today the company’s communications director Richard Eddy confirmed via Twitter that the first trailer for DiRT 3 will be released this weekend during ESPN’s coverage of the X Games.
I’d love to fill you in on all the details, but aside from that above image (taken from the trailer), all we know about the game is that it will be coming to PS3, 360 and PC at some undefined point in the future. Hopefully the proper reveal at the weekend will bring with it more more details.

EXCELLENT! That was what I wanting sooo bad for DiRT2 SNOW! And its looks like an RS200 aswell. Thats pretty awesome! Now I hope they a decent amount of Rally tracks added aswell, DiRT2’s amount was pretty poor..

Still, the gameplay and graphics were outstanding so I’m still looking forward to it.

Partly true, I’ll be waiting for more information before I get too excited. Though it’s hard not to knowing there’ll be snow involved! If they can up the amount of Rallying that would be excellent because Codies have always been good at making a Rally game.. If not, well then we have that WRC game coming out which I already have pre-ordered!

Wow, DiRT 3 already?! Colour me excited! Loving Ken Block’s new Fiesta rally car too! I’m guessing more X-Games style events and have every faith that Codies can pull off a great game….as for GRiD 2…well atleast we know it’s coming at some point and F1 2010 is nearly here!!

Looking forward to the full reveal. I really enjoyed Dirt 2, especially the multiplayer element, so I can’t waiting for Codies latest offering. :)
