It may have missed its scheduled “summer” launch, but Team17’s PS3 version of Worms 2: Armageddon will finally be arriving on the EU PlayStation Store this week.
No other details were provided in the post on the franchise’s Facebook page; all we know is that the PS3 release will include all the content from the 360 version, which came out last year.
The original Worms for PlayStation 3 is still some of the best local multiplayer fun you can have on the console, whilst the buggy online play left something to be desired. Hopefully, Armageddon won’t feature the same issues.
“This week” probably means Wednesday, the regular Store update day, but there’s no confirmation yet of the price.

So, is this a PS3 clone of the old PC game with the same interface, that floaty feel that’s been lacking in the last few versions and 6 or 8 worms on a team? Or is it gonna be more new style worms :(
